Almost 16...looking for job?

I will be 16 at the end of this month. i really want to get a job this summer but i can't think of anywhere that would hire a 15 year old. also i am worried that businesses have already hired employees for the summer. are there any suggestions of where i can apply for a job? i don't want odd jobs(like mowing lawns or babysitting). thanks!
Almost 16...looking for job?
Stop asking and get out and put in applications everywhere and anywhere you can. You should have been looking since spring break, since you are very late at this stage of the game. Don't be too surprised if you don't find a job this summer. The unemployment rate is very high at almost 10% of the population.
Reply:hmmm, my older sister is 16 and got a job at our town's public library about a month ago. She is a shelver. It is a great environment, nearby, and she gets paid well because it is owned by my town.

good luck!
Reply:Culver's minimum hiring age is 14 with a workers permit.

I called many stores because I am 14 looking for a job. This was the response they gave which makes me happy after looking for so long.

Find a local one go online and apply and go in store to apply or call and ask if they are hiring.

What I did was Google a bunch of business near my home and found their numbers using Google maps or their sites and I called and directly asked if they are hiring and what age do they hire at.

Try local grocery stores, pizza parlors, retail stores, fast food restaurants.
Reply:well, ive heard that some malls are low on emploes. You could help out there or you and ur girlfriends could start a babysitting club =)
Reply:Im 16 next week, and recently got a job at a family pub. I really do not recommend it, it's absolutely horrible, and theres no training involved, you just get chucked in at the deep end..

At the end of june, sainsbury's accepts application forms for people who will be 16 by the end of this school year (includes you and me), so that's what i'll be doing, as my cousin used to work there and said the hours are good and money is pretty good (esp in comparison to what i get -拢3.50 an hour!!)

any other shop chains like somerfields, tescos etc hire at 16

local newsagents, shops, cafes and restaurants are good places to try.

Another option is fast food chains - i have heard they are very good jobs actually - don't knwo if this is true or not!

Good luck finding a job
