I will be leaving...just a matter of when. I feel bad about planning meetings that I know I probably won't be here for.
Should I tell my boss(es) that I am looking for a new job?
You haven't actually gotten a new job yet, so you need to be careful about how you handle this. You want to be sure that anything you are arranging for the future is well-documented, so that whoever takes over your job will be able to follow through. When you do get a job offer, you need to give your current job enough notice so they can make arrangements to hire a replacement or train someone to take your place. But until you have a firm job offer, you don't actually know when you will leave, so it may be premature to say much to your bosses, other than maybe some vague hints about eventually moving on. You sound like a conscientious person. Just make sure that, even though in your mind you are half-way out the door, you give your full attention to your current job and you do so in a way that will make it easier for someone to continue after you are gone. That will ensure that when you do leave, you will be missed and appreciated, which helps if you ever need to come back to your former bosses and ask for a reference.
Reply:If you tell them, probably you麓ll have to leave sooner I think, that麓s life!
Reply:No. Wonder if you don't find another job?
Reply:Find a job first then give your two week notice. Tell your new boos that you must give two weeks notice. That will give you a lot of credibility with your new boss.
Reply:I did. No consequences
Reply:Not unless you are ready to go today. he or she may give you lots of time to look!
Reply:Well You maybe should tell them, so they can find someone to replace you! So you don't leave them hanging! Maybe write a professional letter, so you don't really have to confront them. I just had a girl in my office do that!
Reply:NO don't tell.....They will treat you difft.......Just make sure you give your 2 weeks notice. Trust me you may feel bad but the worst thing to do is to tell them your looking you never know whats a head in life; You may get to new job tomorrow or it may be a year from now and you don't want them to have someone to fill your shoes when you don't even have a place to go to.
Reply:No
Reply:nope, just give two weeks notice, or not, I'm not!
Reply:No, just give a 2 week notice once you have secured the other job.
Reply:depends what job u have. if it important one and u r vital for the business then its polte so they can plan ahead. if not then well just do as u like!
id wait until you find a new job though, u dont wanna commit to leaving then find u have no job!
Reply:yes after you get the new job i mean offer letter and all.
Reply:Only if you are using this as leverage to get a raise or promotion. Otherwise you should keep mum. Once bosses know you are looking to leave, their behavior changes and they find ways to minimize your importance.
Reply:No. That gives him reason to fire you so he doesnt give you a paycheck that he could be giving to a new worker.. Wait till you find the new job.
Reply:Yes, but before telling HIM, find a new and a better job where your mind and soul will be satisfied. COMPLETE JOB SATISFACTION
