Just recently graduating w/masters in journalism from CU Boulder and looking for editing position starting around June, anyone know of any openings?
Looking for editing job in Washington DC?
If you're looking for some kind politics related job, go to Roll Call or the Hill (both political newspapers). I wouldn't suggest a headhunter because they only deal with very high level executive positions (I know b/c I went this route once when I was looking). Def check the Washington Post for all kinds of listings. Also, if you want to work directly for the government, try www.usajobs.com. Other than that, I'd suggest just pick a place that you want to work at and call them. Most jobs in DC aren't advertised so it's best to just call them and ask to speak with someone, chances are that they always room for the right person.
Also, DC is ALL about who you know so start making contacts now!!
Reply:I suggest going to a head hunter in D.C. The competition is tough and you'll need help finding what you want.
