Probably the best way to get into Canada is to apply for a student study permit from the canadian embassy in Brazil. Since you already have a Biology degree what would you need to study you ask. What all the Central/South Americans, Koreans, Japanese, French, Dutch, etc., come here to Vancouver, British Columbia, to study -- to learn how to speak English better. Numerous language schools abound. There are many spanish speaking central/south american language students here -- I'm sure there must be some English language schools for portuguese speaking south americans too. Once you get accepted to a school you can apply for a temporary work permit or a temporary resident visa.





Vancouver is an expensive city for rentals. Affordable student accommodations are hard to find. (Just don't be misled by the Hazelwood Hotel's advertisements -- that place is a rat-trap.) There is a higher percentage of Korean and Japanese students in Vancouver than Central and South American students. Multiculturalism here is basically the Chinese and East Indian mix.





Toronto, Ontario, has a much more diverse multicultural base. There are communities of Italians, Greeks, Jamaicans/Caribbeans, etc. There is even a small community of Portuguese solely from the Azores.
