God is it hard finding a job, I have went to 2 agency's no luck! so just wondering if anyone, had any advice on where I should look, for a receptionist or Admin Assistant positions? Somewhere in the South Bay. or Fremont Area... Thanks
I have been looking for a job .. for at least 2 months in the Admin Field any advice?
Looking for a job is never an easy task and you'll need to be very aggressive to land the job. Register with as many employment agencies as you can so that you can temp until you find something permanent. This will also allow to beef up your skills. Look at the want ads every day. Look on Monster.com, hotjobs.com and other job boards and tell EVERYONE you know you are looking for a job.
Good luck.
Reply:Consider going through a temp agency instead of an employment agency. Many companies hire employees after having them as temporary help - they pay a fee to the agency for this right. It saves them having to interview applicants or go through a screening process, and they have a field of applicants from which to choose.
Reply:Start with your local newspapers help wanted section. Also, watch internet job sites for postings in your area.
Think of any business where you might like to work as an admin, then look at their website to see if they post openings online. If they don't, it never hurts to drop by to leave a resume. You never know when someone will quit or get fired!
Remember to ask friends and family if they know of any job openings. Just because they work somewhere where there are no openings does not mean they don't talk to other people who may work somewhere where there is an opening!
Good luck!
