you might try to get CFA certification, it doesn't required company sponsorship and equates to MBA degree. Although it requires 3 years of experience to get the final certificate, even passing Level I might help you to get a job in this industry.
Im looking for a job in securities (investments), but have no degree, what can I do?
You might be able to get a job as a bank teller or a receptionist and transfer to working with investments after have some experience.
Reply:If you are willing and able to get some state testing done, you can obtain a license to sell security products through insurance agencies

Are you looking for a job on-board the ship? Cause most of the staff on board is recruited outside the US. Except for certain positions (on-board coordinator, guest relations, sales etc) those are usually hired from within the company. So definitely look for a shore side position, all the major cruise lines have open houses that they advertise. You can also apply on their website, submit your resume %26amp; they will contact you when there is an opening. Good luck :)
Reply:Go to a cruiseline website, contact them, and go from there
Reply:Don't waste your money on those fools! You can apply DIRECTLY at the cruise lines' websites. Make sure you look for a link for "employment" or "jobs".
Good luck! I worked for Princess for 7 years, and it was a BLAST. :D
Reply:Hi Dennis,
Dont do it trhu an agency.
90% of the times they are scams. Specially since while working on ships you are subject to contracts that are very different from land jobs the agencies are not subject to any laws.
Go directly to the source.
Now, to get a job directly with a cruise line is not easy, so what I would do is go trhu a concession.
Concessions run some services onboard like the shops, casinos, photo, spas.
Ive worked for Carnival as a receptionist and later for the 2 major shop concessions.
Note that if you start working for a concessions, after it麓s a lot easier to migrate into the cruise line that you like better.
Also, working for a concession you have the advantage of being shifted into several diferent cruise lines, which gives you the edge on finding out which one you like better, believe me they are VERY different between themselves and bigger is certanly not better to work for.
The 2 major concessions are
www.hardingbros.co.uk
easier to get in, interviews over the phone (unless you live in the UK, in which case you have to go to Bristol), pays more (160pounds a week + comission), they have around 50 ships, from the top of the industry like Crystal, Silverseas and Cunnard, to the bottom like Island Cruises and Thomson.
and
www.starboardcruise.com/
they are bigger, Royal, Carnival, Celebrity, Costa.
Pays less, USD 500 a month + commission.
I like Hardings a lot better, also they have better opportunities of promotions, they are growing fast and need assistant managers and managers always.
The advantage of working on the shops is that 90% of cruises are duty free, so the shops dont open while in port, therefore you dont work while in port.
You are a staff member, not crew, and that gives you a much better life onboard.
The only thing is: make sure your resume has some retail experience, if you dont, lie. Nobody will check.
The other concessions actually require that you know who to be a casino dealer or a photographer, the shops all you gotta know is how to sell, and thats very easy.
Being polite, knowing how to talk to passengers, etc..
there is some guides to it. Both Hardings and Starboard have it for people who are alredy working for them, I麓ve got them here on PDF.
Email me if you want them.
After you pass the interview, there are a couple of things they will require you to do, but not to worry.
Good luck

I Have a decent job, looking for extra side on line, don't mind work and low pay, no get rich scam. Any Help?
Looking for some side extra income from doing work online. As long as it's not a get rich scam, or paid surveys and all those kind of stuff. Really don't mind to work and earn pretty low money. As long as is not impossible and it really pays. Anyone can help?
I Have a decent job, looking for extra side on line, don't mind work and low pay, no get rich scam. Any Help?
Maybe this can apply. It's usefull for me with your same circumstance. I go and search out 45 rpm and regular albums. I bought collector books, with values of older rock and roll groups. No dissrespect to classical. C%26amp;w and rock work best. No 78rpm either. Sell them on E-Bay. Once you get a feel of what works, you can be your own boss. It works. Check out vinyl records on E-Bay. Finding them is not a problem. Just ask around, or check thrift shops for incredible finds.
Reply:Find out what topic you have alot of knowledge about for example sports, cooking, lawn care, real estate or anything. Then open a website blog, this you can find all over the internet. Most of the online blogs have advertisers you can put on your page which can help you earn cash when someone logs onto your blog and clicks the advertiser.
Reply:You might want to check this out. I have made over $2,000 this month with several different sites. It took a ton of researching to find them. If you are interested, please see my profile for more information, including proof that these sites pay.

Where do you look for jobs? e.g. websites...?
One of the best job search web sites out there is indeed.com The things that I like about Indeed are that it is really user friendly and that it takes all the job listing from several sources and brings them all together. You can also do a google with entering the name of the state where you want to work with the word employment after it. (Florida employment,,,, Texas employment) I'm an employment specialist and if I can be of any further help please feel free to contact me at skibum0109@yahoo.com. Good luck with your job search!
Where do you look for jobs? e.g. websites...?
Hi BonBon,
There are many, but that depends where you are.
Here in N.Y. we have the Dept. of Labor, there's www.snagajob.com. www.monsterjobs.com Myspace.com
has work from home offers. Since your overseas, I'm not
familiar with how the job nets are. I hope this is helpful.
Also try Yahoo.com.
Reply:For the best way i have found, is to use them all, including agencies. Some are better than others. BUT, do NOT pay for anything!, they are supposed to pay you.

Mommy of 3 looking for job?
I'm a mommy of 3. I have a 7yr old, 4yr old, and 3month old. I was wondering if anyone knows of a good paying job that I can work during school hours (9:00am-4:00pm)?
Mommy of 3 looking for job?
Working at a school, I found, was the best! You even get the same days off and you're off in the summer. Hit that first. Also a day care where you can be with your children, taking them along.
Check into the nearest Community College to advance your education. They often have programs for moms and daycare available. If you are single, there are programs to help you fund those classes. Then you can chose the career that fits you.
Good Luck!
Reply:Look on the jobcentreplus website. There are plenty of jobs you can do in those hours. Call centres are quite good for pay. My sister works at one and has a baby, she gets 拢9 an hour at the moment.
Reply:I drive a school bus. It's great since I have the same time off as my kids. They also let me take my toddler on the runs with me (I just have to provide a car seat and make sure it's secure.) So it works out well...I never have to pay for child care.
Reply:Check with the school(s) your kids attend to see if they have any available jobs.
